Maw-Maw and Granny’s Scraps
Maw-Maw and Granny’s Scraps is the My Paw-Paw and Me Foundation's annual Christmas drive, designed for a dual purpose: to give out fleece blankets in support of the My Paw-Paw and Me Foundation and to provide therapeutic recreation to seniors throughout the year.
This program will visit nursing homes, senior recreational centers, and some elderly only rehabilitation centers. Therapeutic recreation includes some arts and crafts classes to make the blankets for the year end give away. The therapeutic recreation will help seniors increase social interaction, cultivate wellness by mental stimulation, and encourage self-expression by having fun. |
